Job Title: Family Services Manager (Non-Exempt position), Full-Time, some evenings and weekends required, Position reports directly to the CEO

 

Job Description:

The Family Services Manager is responsible for the recruitment, processing, and overseeing the selection of Partnership Homeowner families to coordinate the sale of homes, provide direction for the program, support and nurture the hopes, dreams and goals of all partner families and to provide support post-selection and post-homeownership.

 

Additionally, the Family Services Manager will oversee the intake, qualification, social assessment and holistic “whole person” goals to minimize and reduce the social determinants to health, including housing, for Topeka Habitat for Humanity’s repair programs, including, but not limited to, Aging in Place, Targeted Neighborhood Revitalization, Brush with Kindness and other repair programs.

 

Compensation: 

$42,000-$47,000 annually salary.

Benefits include medical and dental insurance, retirement, and generous paid time off.

 Job Duties: 

  • Serve as staff liaison to other community organizations as requested to gather and disseminate information regarding Topeka Habitat for Humanity, Inc.

  • Review results of all pre-visits/holistic assessments and coordinate the referrals to other social service agencies.

  • Prepare application information and supporting documents for each Family Selection meeting.

  • Aid in the development of the Family Support Committee.

  • Meet with families on a regular basis to facilitate success, achieve life and budget goals and to track and measure outcomes related to minimizing social determinants of health.

  • Provide opportunities for prospective homeowners and repair applicants to benefit from community resources.

  • Coordinate homeowner partner related events such as groundbreakings, dedications, etc.

  • Work with other affiliate leadership in developing new programming, procedures, policies, and homeowner participation strategies.

  • Work with Topeka Habitat’s COO, to oversee the proper recruitment of volunteers for the family support structure to be implemented.

  • Develop, maintain and report on data outcomes and measures to foster Resource Development for Topeka Habitat.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Skills/Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Services, Social Work or a related-field. Experience working in a non-profit setting, or case management preferred.
